Boy Scouts of America 2017 Jamboree 

Hosted by Soaring Eagle Tours from 7/10/17 – 7/30/17 in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, the Summit and Pittsburgh

All our tour packages are entertaining and educational. This proposal is based on a 40 person contingent. All meals except where noted, S.E.T. staff, escorts, tour guides, admission fees, security and transportation are included in our price. (Our staff discretionary gratuities, hotel luggage porterage expenses and airfare are not included.)

 

7/11 (Tuesday)

4:00pm –Arrival at Logan International Airport, Boston, MA

5:00pm –Check into the Hampton Inn Hotel

6:30pm– Dinner at the hotel

(Option – Boston Red Sox Baseball Game – price not included in this proposal)

 

7/12 (Wednesday)

7:00am – Breakfast at the hotel

9:00am – 12:30pm – Visit the Boston Freedom Trail – 3 hour guided walking tour

1:00pm – Lunch ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide)

3:00pm – 5:00pm – Visit the Prudential Observation Tower

5:30pm – 7:00pm – Dinner – Venue TBD ($20.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide)

 

7/13 (Thursday)

7:00am – Breakfast at the hotel

8:00am – Depart to New York City

11:30am – Arrive at the Springhill Suites by Marriot, NYC

12:30pm – Lunch – Starlight Dinner ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide)

2:00pm – 4:30pm – Phantom of the Opera Broadway Show

5:30pm – 7:00pm – Dinner at the Hard Rock Café

7:00pm – 9:00pm – Walk the streets of NYC – enjoy the sights

9:30pm – 11:30pm – Visit the Empire State Building – self guided tour with audio

12:00am – Return to the hotel

 

7/14 (Friday)

7:00am – Breakfast at the hotel

9:00am – 11:00am – Ground Zero guided tour + museum visit

12:00pm – 3:00pm – Statue of Liberty visit ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide for lunch)

4:00pm – 6:00pm – 2 hour guided tour of Central Park

6:30pm – 8:00pm – Dinner at the Shake Shack: At the lower end of the price spectrum, for some of the best burgers and custard shakes in New York City, head to the famed Shake Shack at Columbus Ave. and W. 77th St., right near the Museum of Natural History. The restaurant has an enclosed sidewalk café as well as a “Rec Room” where you can watch games. Burgers cost between $3.55 and $8.80. Shakes are $5.00

8:30pm – Arrive back to the hotel

 

7/15 (Saturday)

7:00am – Breakfast at the hotel

8:00am – Depart to Philadelphia

10:00am – 6:00pm –Visit and tour Independence Hall, Old Philadelphia (Double Decker Bus Tour), U.S Mint, and Valley Forge ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide for lunch)

7:00pm – Arrive at the Hampton Inn, Philadelphia, PA

8:00pm – Dinner – Venue TBD ($20.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide)

9:30pm – Return to the hotel

 

7/16 (Sunday)

6:30am – Breakfast at the hotel

7:30am – Catholic Mass @ TBD

9:00am – Depart to DC via Fort McHenry and Baltimore Inner Harbor

11:00am – 1:15pm – Arrive at Fort. McHenry, MD – Take a 1 hour self guided tour plus the 45 minute “BROAD STRIPS AND BRIGHT STARS – THE FLAG TALK”)

1:30pm – Depart to the Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and have lunch ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout by our tour guide)

3:00pm – Depart to Washington DC

5:00pm – Arrive in Washington, DC – Doubletree Hotel

6:00pm – Dinner at Buca Di Beppo Restaurant ($20.00 will be handed out to each Scout by our tour guide)

7:30pm – 10:00pm – Monuments by moonlight trolley tour

10:30pm – Return back to the hotel

 

7/17 (Monday)

7:30am – Breakfast at the hotel

8:30am – 5:00pm – Tour the U.S. Capital, U.S. White House, National Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport and the Smithsonian Museum. ($10.00 will be handed to each Scout for lunch)

5:30pm – 7:00pm – Dinner at Union Station ($20.00 food voucher good for 25 restaurants)

8:00pm – 10:30pm – Monuments by moonlight trolley tour – Iwo Jima Memorial, FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Korean War Memorial and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial

11:00pm – Return to hotel

 

7/18 (Tuesday)

6:45am – Breakfast at the hotel

8:00am – 11:00am – Tour of the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (a guided tour from 9:00am -10:45am)

11:30am – 12:30pm – Visit Arlington National Cemetery

1:00pm – Depart Washington, DC via motor coach ((stop for lunch on the way – $10.00 will be handed to each Scout)

7:30pm – Arrive at the Holiday Lodge, Oak Hill, WV

8:30pm – Dinner at the hotel

7/19 (Wednesday) – Departure Day to the Summit, Mt. Hope, WV – Boy Scouts Jamboree

6:00am – Breakfast at the hotel

7:00am – Bus depart to WV for the Summit, Mt. Hope, WV (20 minute ride)

 (2 nights of housing and food arrangement at Saint Vincent to be arranged by client – these costs are not included in our price for option 2)

 

7/28 (Friday)

7:00am – Breakfast at the Summit

8:30am -Bus depart the Summit, Mt. Hope, WV (box lunch on board)

1:30pm – Arrive in Latrobe, PA at Saint Vincent College, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers summer training camp.

6:00pm – Dinner TBD

 

7/29 (Saturday)

8:00am – Breakfast at Saint Vincent

10:00am – 9:00pm – Full day of fun at Kennywood Amusement Park (3 entrée picnic and soft drinks are included)

10:00pm – Return to the hotel

 

7/30 (Sunday)

6:30am – Breakfast at Saint Vincent

7:30am – Catholic Mass at Saint Vincent Basilica

9:30am – Depart to Pittsburgh International Airport (box lunch will be provided on board the bus)

10:30am – Arrive at airport and fly home (lunch not provided)
